SUMMARY :
Once upon a time, in the realm of the Enchanted Forest and long before the Savior had been conceived, there had been another child born from the Truest Love. Princess Eva ━ who'd been named in honor of her late maternal grandmother ━ was born out of wedlock and in the midst of a war against the Evil Queen a year earlier to Snow White and her fiancé, Prince Charming.

This daughter, unlike the other that would one day save them all from a curse that would entrap them within a town for twenty-eight years, had been cursed.

Snow White had never intended to make the deal she had. At the time, she was just a girl with no understanding of what was going on or who she was speaking to. But on the day Eva was born, she understood when she saw the mark on her daughter's chest. An omen of death. A sigil of dark magic. A mark that signified her daughter would soon be claimed by the very person she'd been foolish enough to make a deal with in exchange for happiness ━ the Black Fairy herself.

As they held their daughter the day she was born, both Snow White and Prince Charming vowed to do everything they could to prevent their daughter from being taken from them. Vowed to ensure the Black Fairy would never be able to claim her one day.

By the time they were celebrating Eva's first birthday, they'd been married and were already expecting another child. Another daughter, this one with a heavy burden upon her shoulders before she was even born. According to prophecy, the unborn princess was the Savior and their only hope for survival against the Evil Queen and her Dark Curse.

With the realization that they'd be losing both their daughters sooner than they ever imagined they would, Snow White and Prince Charming knew they had no other choice but to agree with the Blue Fairy's plan to have Geppetto forge a portal from a magical tree that would save the lives of both the young princesses.

A few weeks passed, and on the night the Savior was born, Geppetto had finished the portal. However, rather than sending both the princesses through where they'd be safe, Geppetto decided to hide his own son within the confines of the tree, and so it was Princess Eva that was left behind, for Princess Emma was the second and last to travel through the portal.

However, as the Dark Curse consumed everything in sight and the residents of the Enchanted Forest were transported to Land Without Magic where they had no memory of who they were and where they came from, the most unlikely thing happened ━ Princess Eva continued to age.

While everyone else in the cursed town of Storybrooke, Maine remained frozen in time for the next twenty-eight years, the princess continued to grow into a child, a teenager, and eventually a woman. But as the years flew by, Eva couldn't help but feel as though something was missing from her life. Like she did not belong in this world and there were people missing from it.

But when a strange blond women in a yellow bug arrives in town, things suddenly begin to change for the better. And as the weeks turn into months, Emma Swan awakens the truth within Storybrooke, Maine. However, that isn't all the woman awakens, for upon breaking the Dark Curse, Emma unknowingly awakens the dormant curse her sister had been born with as well. And now, the Black Fairy can sense her once more.

ADDITIONAL NOTES :
━ Believe it or not, I actually got the idea for this plot from watching the 2024 horror movie The Watchers starring Dakota Fanning on Max. I couldn't help but think how much she looked like Jennifer Morrison and so, of course, that got me thinking about OUAT so I began brainstorming and, well, now here we are lol.

━ Not only is this a Killian fic, but I'd like to mention before we get into heavy details that it's also a second chance love story for Emma and Neal, who I don't intend on killing off. That's right. Neal lives. But anyways, onto the plot details!

━ As mentioned in the summary, Eva was cursed because of a deal her mother (Snow White) made with the Black Fairy. Let's get into that before we jump into details about the seasons of the show specifically.

━ So we all know how much of a spoiled brat Snow White was as a child. We saw it in plenty of flashbacks, during which her mother would always correct her. After her mother's passing, Snow White was very depressed and she believed she would never be happy again. This is when she made the deal.

━ Having run away from the castle one night in tears, Snow White was approached by the Black Fairy in the woods. Snow White thought she was an ordinary fairy. A good fairy. So she asked the Black Fairy if she could make it so she could be happy again and the Black Fairy did exactly that. However, it came at a grave cost.

━ In exchange for happiness, Snow White had unknowingly signed away her firstborn child to the Black Fairy. A deal that'd been sealed with blood. Literally. The Black Fairy had Snow White sign her name on a scroll using her own blood. And poor, naive Snow White had fallen for the trick. Had she only read the fine print, had she only known who the Black Fairy was, she would never had been responsible for her own daughter being cursed.

━ The reason why Eva was born with a mark on her chest is so that it's easier for the Black Fairy to find the children that belong to her. The only reason she didn't come for Eva straight away is because the Black Fairy is a very busy fairy that is traveling between realms making all sorts of deals. Deals that will give her more children so she can essentially raise them and teach them dark magic. Like she intends with Eva, once she comes to claim her.

━ However, when the Evil Queen cast the Dark Curse, the veil over Storybrooke kept Eva hidden from the Black Fairy. For twenty-eight years, Eva's location was completely concealed from the Black Fairy and she was finally safe.

━ Also, I would like to make it clear that the Black Fairy is still very much Rumplestiltskin's mother. I did like the concept of her character, especially since we got to learn about Rumplestiltskin's father and never his mother in season three. However, the show didn't handle the storyline right. It was very messy and there was just way too much going on in season six. That said, her story has been changed. A lot. She will also not be introduced in this story as she was in season six. She'll be arriving much sooner than that and under different circumstances.

━ Upon arriving in Storybrooke during the curse, Eva had been raised by Mother Superior and the sisters at the church as an orphan. Everyone there is her family and she volunteers with them frequently around town. I wouldn't say she's super religious, however, she does have some faith given where she was raised.

━ There is a reason Eva was able to age and it has to do with her mark.

━ Eva has an apartment near the church, practically within walking distance so she can always visit with them. Outside of volunteering, she works as a therapist because she loves to help people. However, she isn't Henry's therapist. A few of her patients are actually Ashley (who frequently shares concerns about motherhood, the baby and Sean), Leroy (who really only comes to her because Graham makes him), Graham (when he starts remembering his life), Kathryn and eventually David Nolan.

━ Season one happens pretty much the same way. Eva and Emma should definitely feel a connection right away and become fast friends. Although, they'd feel awkward whenever Henry mentions they're sisters because they don't believe any of the nonsense in his storybook. At least not at first anyway.

━ Eva is friendly to Mary Margaret and David, although I wouldn't say they're exactly friends. Not like how Emma and Mary Margaret become friends. Especially since David eventually becomes Eva's patient.

━ When the curse is broken, Eva begins to feel the effects of her curse again. The only way I can explain it is that her body feels very weak and she can feel this shroud of darkness towering over her at all times.

━ Eva ends up in the Enchanted Forest with her mom and sister, allowing her to meet her True Love, Killian. The two of them immediately feel a spark but obviously Eva doesn't act on anything because he's on Cora's side and Cora is their enemy, therefore so is he.

━ While Emma, Henry and Rumple leave town to find Neal, Snow and David notice that Eva's curse is starting to give her nightmares now so they decide to sit her down and tell her about the mark she was born with and that it's there because of the deal Snow made before she was born.

━ Eva is hurt, to say the least. She can't believe her mother would do that to her. She keeps her distance for a while so she can process everything. It's Mother Superior who eventually has a heart-to-heart with Eva, telling her that Snow never would have made the deal she did had she known the cost would be her firstborn child. Eva realizes she is right and eventually reconciles with her mother.

━ Eva reunites with Killian in the second half of season two, when he and Cora have come to Storybrooke. But she doesn't really act on anything because she still sees him as the enemy.

━ In season three, Eva joins them in Neverland to save Henry. She bonds with Killian some more and he notices her mark at some point. He asks what it means and she tells him. This somewhat brings them closer together as they both realize their days together are numbered because they have no idea when the Black Fairy is coming for her. They share their first kiss at some point in Neverland.

━ After rescuing Henry, they return to Storybrooke, where Eva and Killian share a second kiss when she thanks him for his help saving her nephew. This is essentially the start of their relationship.

━ Having been reunited on Neverland and confessed their love for each other, Emma and Neal reconcile over everything that's happened between them in the past and decide to start fresh with each other. Something which Henry will be delighted to hear, you know, once he gets his body back.

━ Now, since season 3B onwards has some pretty heavy spoilers regarding her relationship with Killian, the Black Fairy, and more, I'm going to stop there to avoid spoilers for potential readers. As always, the rest of the details will be provided to the person who adopts this plot from me.
